On the 24th of Jan, A group of right wing Hindu fundamentalist men (around 40) barged into a pub, dragged out young women and the men who accompanied them and beat the women black and blue. this happened in Mangalore not very far from Bangalore where I live. This attack was preplanned and the media was invited. sad part of the story is the media stays busy capturing the violence/story while girls are beaten up. all the culprits were set off free by the ruling right fundamentalist govt. protests
