Carl is desperate to see me. I’m going to theatre with Omar so maybe after? But it will be too late.
What is he thinking anyway? That he will just txt me out of the blue and I will be plans-free and ready to see him? 24 hours before a planned date is a minimum! There is no ‘last minute’ option in my dating vocabulary!
It’s not just that my legs are not shaved or that I have different plans. But him txting me so late makes me feel like I’m really his last choice, everything else didn’t work out and this is why he is getting in touch! I don’t like feeling this way!

I’m disappointed to say the least.  I really like you, just the way you are.  I would rather be hurt by you later, at least I would get to see you for a little bit.  It felt right for me , I don’t know what’s stopping it for feeling right for you.

I don’t understand why are you having such a hard time getting over your ex?  You said he’s not a part of your life anymore.  Not all guys are going to be like him either.

As you may have noticed when we met on Wednesday I often talked about my ex boyfriend… I’m not sure if it would be true to say that I’m still not over him but meeting with you made me realize that I just need a lot more time to get over everything that happened.

I turn the car on when a txt comes. It’s late so who can it be?

Koro! He wants to know if I’m keen for a lunch tomorrow. He will pick me up at 11 and take me to some nice place in the country side.

OMG! Should I agree when again he gives me such a short notice? Maybe I should stick to my rules and say I’m busy tomorrow!? He should plan it, not make it last minute!

Me and Steph sit in the shade of  Jahmahl’s big BMW.  We are trying to define the kind of men we want and put it down on paper. It’s way more serious than talking.

In the end we only decide that we have to seriously look into dating. Koro or no Koro I will not rely or wait for him. I decide to activate all possible men channels. Steph promises to introduce me to wanders and mysteries of internet dating - something I have never done before.

How will I ‘market’ myself to the men?

Koro just txted asking if I had a good evening and says he is so sad we didn’t meet tonight.

“Maybe next week?’ I suggest but he doesn’t reply.

The play is a Russian version of the Naked King. The main actor got drunk because it’s his birthday today so he keeps forgetting his lines, gets confused or starts laughing. Apart from that every now and then, for no reason and without any relationship to the plot of the play three teenage chicks appear on the stage and dance to “My humps” and every time their outfits get more and more skimpy and slutty. This is as embarrassing as it is strange. In the interval Darling explains that one of the dancing girls is the director’s daughter. Actually the director made the whole play work around her daughter so that she can ‘show’ herself. That explains a lot…

Steph and I can’t stay too long at the party because Darling’s play begins at 8. Charlotte is here too, looking really good. Break up seems to suit her!

There is also a German guy I met at Fadi’s party. His name is Hans and as far as I remember he was one of Fadi’s best mates. He sits on a couch next to me.

No. there is no discussion about it. There is nothing more important than loyalty to the girlfs. Men come and go, girlfriends stay!

Koro just txted asking if I’m going to the belly dance class tomorrow night, because if I am he could also come, catch up with Saba and see me.

“Oh what a shame! First I’m going to a party and then I have to see my friend’s theatre performance! I promised I would come!”

I’m not going to change my plans just because he wants to see me unannounced! Otherwise he will get used to spontaneous meetings and will think he doesn’t have to plan ahead because I’m always in the reach of his hand, ready to be taken and I will always be hanging there, waiting just in case Koro wants to see me!
